Brooklyn Symphony

Today, as a change of pace, I’m sharing a poem I wrote years ago, inspired by sounds which some people would describe as a terrific din.

Brooklyn Symphony

The crescendo rumbling
of the overhead trains,
The trumpeting horns
of thirteen cars,
The undersinging
of a single bird,
All blending into
a surprising symphony.
